Allah, Brahma, Yahweh, God -- are these simply different names for the same God? Are Islam and Christianity merely different paths that lead to the same God? Can the Qur'an, the Bible, and the Hindu Vedas and Upanishads be equally valid expressions of God's message for humankind?

Many people think that these questions cannot be answered. They believe that God has not revealed himself clearly, and therefore, they are skeptical about God's existence. Curiously many of these skeptics remain open to the possibility of the existence of the paranormal appearances, extra-terrestrials, and are attracted to exotic eastern religions; yet they reject Jesus. Many people resist Jesus and his message because they equate Jesus to organized religion. But Jesus and his message are much different than what they learned in church. Jesus was a rabbi--a Jewish teacher from Nazareth. But unlike most other rabbis, Jesus did not accept the status quo. Jesus rejected many of the man-made traditions of organized religion and taught a new way to God. Jesus taught that organized religion is not the way to God because God is seeking people to worship him in spirit and truth (see John chapter four). Jesus claimed to be sent from heaven by God to teach the way of God to all who would believe in him. Jesus taught that he alone was the way, the truth, and the life and that we can come to God only through him.
If you are interested in learning more about Jesus, then I would encourage you to read about him in the New Testament book of John. May God bless you as you continue to seek him.
If you think that you are ready to follow God, read about becoming a believer.
