Pensamientos para hoy (afterthought for today)

Star date 1.1.2007

Stardate January 1, 2007. Pastor's log #1.

The U.S.S. Trinity has embarked on a new journey into the unknown. Fortunately our Commander is able to see into the future and has given assurance as to the eventual success of our mission.

At the moment we are in normal operations. Threats to our ship's infrastructure have been minimized by the diligent work and dedication of the crew and morale seems to be running high. Although questions remain concerning the direction or our mission, the ship's officers are united in their desire to reach into the vast multitudes that surround our present location and search and locate those who are lost.

Although we have not received any distress calls, we know that our great Enemy has carried out many attacks. My job as pastor of the U.S.S. Trinity is to inform the crew about our present mission. Our Commander has given us instructions to find those who have been attacked by the Enemy and rescue as many of them as possible.

This mission faces many obstacles. Fortunately our Commander has supplied us with the needed resources to accomplish this mission. We have body armor to protect us from Enemy phaser attacks1, and we have our own pneuma2 phasers which are the rhema3 of our Commander. Now we need only to trust in the wisdom and power of our Commander who will energize us with his pneuma4. Armed with these powerful resources I am confident that our crew will have the confidence to accept this mission to boldly go and rescue those who are lost in the darkness of the Enemy's territory.

The fate of many is in our hands, but we have great confidence in our Commander who has told us that the power of the Enemy cannot prevail against us5.

End Pastor's log #1.

Note: I believe that this will be a great year.
